FIRST PERIOD

Twins opened the scoring 28 seconds in when James Bergal scored his 10^th of the season beating Riels net minder Ryan Brown with assists coming from Nolan Jackson and Eric Eyer.

Twins lead was good till the 17^th mark when Brian Dies came in on a two on one with Brett Charette rifled a shot past Michael Newman to tie it at 1-1.  That was Brian Dies 17^th of the season with assists coming from Brett Charette.  Then at 19:42, Royce Nixdorf sent a shot from the point beating Twins goalie Michael Newman through traffic. That was Nixdorf’s 1^st goal of the season with assists coming from Travis Ziprick and Russell Trudeau.  That ended the period 2-1 with Riels out shooting the Twins 16-15 in the 1^st period.  It was a good period for the goalies.  They were steady.

SECOND PERIOD

Only one goal scored in the second that was by the Twins Dillon Acheson scored at 9:12 with assists coming from Kaleb Ross and Matt Hanks.  The Twins tied the game 2-2 after two periods.  Twins out shot the Riels 12-7.  It was a very close tight checking period.

THIRD PERIOD

Riels opened the scoring in the 3^rd when Russell Trudeau sniped a shot, his 23^rd of the season past Newman in the top shelve with assist

 going to Brian Dies.

Riels hung on to that 1^st goal lead till 13:46 of the third when league leading defenseman Sean Christensen scored his 8^th of the season on the power play with assists coming from Gorrie and Michaels.  That made it 4-2 Riels.  Brian Dies scored his 18^th of the season to seal the deal, unassisted.  Riels win 5-2.  Riels out shot the Twins 16-13 in the third.

Riels didn’t have their best game tonight.  You could tell they had not played for a week. 

Riels net minder Ryan Brown had a great night stopping 38 shots.  Riels win their 22^nd game of the season.  Next up – Pembina Valley Twisters.
