Posted Sep 27/15 - It's Wait Till Next Year For Titan's

The Sin City Titan's looked like they were going to pull off another miracle come from behind win and force a game two for the Championship, but it was not to be this day. The Titan's gave up an un-earned run in the first inning that turned out to be the pattern for the day. The Titan's pitching and bats showed up but the defense took the day off. John Hay (8-3) pitched his heart out as always, pitching 8 innings and giving up 4 un-earned runs. The Titan's out hit the Dirt bags 10-8 with Steve Diaz (.433) going 3 for 4 and Diego Robles 3 for 4 with 3 RBI.  Anthony Ramos had a single and double. But the Dirt bags took advantage of 3 errors in the 6th inning as the Titan's beat them giving the Dirt bags the Championship 8-6. The Titan's had an outstanding year with many highlights. It seemed like there was a different hero every week. Joe Keiser led the team in hitting the first half and then left the team for personal reasons. That's when Chris Gschwender picked up the slack and lead the team in hitting (.455) and RBI's (21). Steve Diaz (.433) came on strong at the end of the season and carried the team with his bat belting two HR's and two triples. And of course there was Wandy Hernandez who lifted the team with his spirt and lifting the ball over the fence 3 times to lead the team in HR's. Antony Ramos (.309) was 2nd on the team in RBI's who was moved to the # 2 spot in the order when Keiser left and made us forget we lost our leading hitter in that spot. Ernesto Ruiseco (50 years young) hit his way into the lineup batting (.255). Alex Murphy who filled in at SS when Garrett Blair went down, Carlos Mazon who is now a Pitcher,  Tom Pulcini (.339) who played a Gold Glove first base, John Carra (.379) who set the table in the leadoff spot. Jeff Mathews (.385), Brandon Fick who led the team in babies born was solid behind the plate. Garrett Blair who struggled coming off knee surgery still batted .404. And Coach Rick Gschwender who has not missed one game in 3 years flashing signs down at in the third base Coaches box, and Michelle Gschwender keeping the scorebook. These are the tough hard nose players, Coach and Mom that give 110 % every Sunday when Coach Chris Gschwender calls them and why he calls them family.

To the Wife's, Girlfriends, family who supported the team, we thank you. We will be back in March 2016.
