| Posted May 15/12 - Dodgers Close Out First Part of Season |
| The Langley-Aldergrove Dodgers closed out the first part of their regular season on Sunday losing to the high flying Cloverdale Spurs and the Victoria Eagles in a pair of weekend double headers. The coaching staff is pleased with the progress of the team and, while they would have preferred another win or two over the first 16 games, they know that this was a particularly tough stretch of games against most of the elite teams in the league. Although the Dodgers finished this stretch with a disappointing 5-11 record, it is not far off the pre-season expectations when the coaches plotted out the season. The coaches know that a good foundation has been laid, they remain confident, and they expect some very big things over the next 2 or three months.
Next Up: Richmond Victoria Day Weekend (at least 4 games) at Blundell Park in Richmond. First game is Saturday at 9:15 vs. the Cloverdale Spurs (that team name sounds vaguely familiar).
