| The Varsity Longhorns travel to Sullivan East today to play the Patriots, in a game that was originally scheduled for yesterday, April 10th. Right hander, Andy Woods, will take the ball for the visiting team. Woods, who has pitched solid baseball in his last three starts, is looking for his first win of the 2012 season. #24 has walkd only two batters in his over 20 innings of work this season. The JV Longhorns did not play well against a solid Sullivan East JV baseball club on Tuesday, April 10th, but there was some bright spots that we do not want to ignore. *Nathaniel Graybeal collected his first career JV hit, a double to left field. *Sophomore, Sam Thomas, hit his first JCHS home run, a 2-run shot over the left field wall. *Andy Woods went 2-3 on the afternoon, with a couple of line drive shots to left field. *River Cazire, now playing centerfield, stole two bases, his fifth and sixth stolen bases of the 2012 JV season. The JV Longhorns will next be in action on Thursday, following the Varsity game at the Hampton Bulldogs. |
