Capital City started off the OSU showcase with a 12-1 win in six innings against Showtime Jr. Prep. Nychal Gritz led Cap City on the mound with his five inning performance; giving up two hits, no earned runs, and struck out three. At the plate the Black Sox took advantage of six Showtime errors, and scored five runs in the fourth to put the game away. Evan Haberle, and Jesse Hilyard had two RBI's each, and Roger Ingram Jr. had two hits to lead the offense.

Cap City's second game of the day was a great pitching performance by Colton French; he pitched a complete game, striking out 12 and walking none, only giving up four hits, and allowing two earned runs. Garrett Myers led the hit brigade for the Sox; going 3-4 with four RBI's. Travis Sanders, Josh Palmquist, and Myers all had doubles, and Haberle tripled to finish off the scoring. After the 10-3 win, Capital City moved to 4-0 on the season, with two more games to play on Sunday.
