MOUNT VERNON — The Mustangs ran past Kimball 43-14, compiling 262 yards rushing on 49 carries.

Robbie Kazi led the Mount Vernon offense with 83 yards rushing and one reception for 31 yards. Brian Kluth was 5-for-7 passing for 97 yards. Kyle Gerlach and Cody London led the defense with seven tackles apiece.

Seth Carsten accounted for 54 of the Kiotes’ 137 rushing yards. Jesse Taylor passed for 50 yards, completing 3-for-10 passes. Evan Soulek and Trevor Reinesch led the defense with 10 and 11 tackles respectively.

Mount Vernon completes the regular season with a 6-2 record.

Kimball finishes the regular season at 2-6.

Mt. Vernon's 1st round playoff opponent will be announced sometime Friday, October 23.
