| The Springfield Braves took the opening game over the Wesman Diamond Dawgs in the best of three Junior AA Provincial Final. The game was played in Portage la Prarie and saw the Diamond Dawgs jump out to an early 3-0 lead. The Braves tied it up in the sixth inning and punched in the game winning run in the seventh on a clutch two out single by 2nd baseman Kevin Wood. Games two and three are scheduled for Saturday, Aug 27th at Springfield. Times 1 PM and 4 PM if needed. |
