| The Braves win their Mingo Bay opener in a high scoring game 16-15 over visiting Gar-Field from Virginia. They had 16 hits led by Cody Rice, Jason Tomlinson, and Kyle Presley with Cody hitting a grand slam. Pitching for Socastee were Richard Carmichael, Sean Bonawitz, Gunnar Kines, and Cody Rice. Gunnar picks up the win. Hitting for the Braves were Tim Starkey (1-3), Jason Tomlinson (3-3, 4 RBIs), Travers Woodward (2-5, RBI), Cody Rice (4-4, 2B, HR, 6RBIs), Kyle Presley (3-3), Richard Carmichael (1-4, 2 RBIs), and Jake Davis (2-2, 2 RBIs). |
