Taylor County earned their first win of the season Friday night by defeating the Elizabethtown Panthers 56-54 on their own floor.

The Cards tied it up with about 20 seconds to go in the 4th then turned up the defensive pressure as E-Town tried to hold for the last shot.  A well-executed trap lead to a steal by Chase Seaborne which lead to an assist to Trae Wells for the go-ahead bucket with 6 seconds remaining.  The Panthers would launch a prayer from well behind the three point line that was no good. 

The Cardinals used a very well balanced attack as Tevin Webster paced the Cards with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Lucas Bradshaw had 10 points and 4 rebounds.  Seth Wheatley had 9 points as he was 3-4 from the three point line.

The Cardinals travel to cross-town rival Campbellsville Tuesday night at 7:30 before hosting Adair County on Friday.
