The weather has wrecked havoc on high school baseball programs all through upper East TN, but Longhorn Baseball has got some quality work in, in spite of the weather conditions.  We are blessed to have the indoor facility that allows us to get quality cuts in, and allows our pitchers the opportunity to get their work in.  I am sure the kids take it for granted sometimes, but after coaching at a program last year where I had to run practices in the school cafeteria and hallway, I very much realize what a blessing the indoor facility is.  We are also very fortunate to have the tennis courts as an option to work on specific skills, and we recently took our team down on the field in the middle of the track to get some fly balls and ground balls.  Obviously there is no substitute for being on the baseball diamond, but in saying that, we feel good about the work we have been able to get in.  Now it's just a matter of getting quality repetitions on the field.
