Posted Jul 15/10 - Wisconsin Dells Tournament Locations

Admissions will be $20 for an adult weekend pass, $12 for a student weekend pass (17yrs or younger), or $8 for an adult day pass, and $5 for a student (17yrs or younger) day pass. Children 6 years old or younger free. Wristbands will be given out at admissions. These MUST be worn all weekend on the WRIST. We will not exchange bands if they bring one in that was removed. Spectators will need to pay again if they are not wearing their bands.

Congratulations to the 11u and 15u teams for victories in last weeks tournament held at the several different locations throughout lake, cook, & kenosha counties. We also want to make sure we acknowledget the 10, 12, & 17u for going 3-1 for the weekend. We look forward to all levels competing this weekend throughout Lake and Kenosha Counties. Posted May 10/10 - Team T-Shirts Order Forms

We will have order forms for team t-shirts that will be circulated this week at your childs practice. If you want to order a shirt that shows your support for the program now is your chance. The order forms are on the handout tab and we will be turning in the forms on May 28th.

Posted May 10/10 - Cookie Dough Delivery

The cookie dough will be available for pick up on Monday May 24, 2010 @ 5:00 P.M. at the hinkston park fieldhouse in Waukegan. We want to take this time to thank everyone that took time to participate in this fund raiser. If you have cookie dough orders please set up a pick up time with the coach of your sons team.

Dear Parents,

Our first overnight tournament is coming up on May 14th-16th in Des Moines, Iowa. We will be staying at the Sleep Inn Suites. We mandate there be four (4) players per room for 8th and 10th. 4th – 7th will stay with parents. The cost per player is $60.00. If you are attending the price is $85.00 per night. This fee will be needed May 11th (grades 4th-8th) or May 10th (high school) at practice (no later than May 13th)THE FEE MUST BE PAID BEFORE WE DEPART. Also please make sure you provide your child(ren) money for food and entertainment as well.

The schedule for the tournament times will be available May 7, 2010 by 5:00pm at www.iowagymrats.com. We will also post the tournament schedule as well.

7th grade boys will be playing in their AAU qualifying tournament this weekend at Joy of the Game in Deerfield, IL. 8th grade and 10 grade boys will be in the FTG Spring Championship III tournament at the Waukegan Fieldhouse. Schedules are in the Handouts section.

No tournaments this weekend for the 4th-6th grade boys. Enjoy your weekend off!

Posted Apr 12/10 - Waukegan Traveling Stars First Tournament a Success!

Congratulations to Waukegan Traveling Stars 4th grade - 7th grade teams for competing in their first tournament. All the teams played really hard and showed great sportsmanship throughout. The 4th grade team won their division and also filled in for another team in the tournament. Also, congratulations to 9th grade boys for winning their tournament in Gurnee. GREAT JOB BOYS!

All Parents
All monies for the fundraiser and final payment fees are due this Thursday, April 15th. If you are unable to make this payment, please make special arrangements with Coach Darryl. We will also need a copy of all birth certificates and something stating your child's grade (repord card, progress report, etc.).

Practice this week for the 4th and 5th grade boys will be back at Pierce Campus in Zion.

The Waukegan Traveling Stars (WTS) would like to welcome you to our 2010 Spring/Summer Season. WTS will have a minimum of 3 overnight tournaments. There are also several local tournaments on the schedule. WTS are looking forward to having another successful season. Our organization would like to extend a great measure of gratitude for allowing us to teach your child basketball fundamentals. As an organization, we take the task of developing your child in the sport of basketball very serious. Our intent is to give our all to make them as competitive and prepared to compete as possible.

We will be participating in several fundraising events to help offset the cost of most of our technical and administrative expenses. Our season opening tournament will be in the Lake County area on the weekend of April 10-11.

WTS Practice Schedule
10u/4th grade & 11u/5th grade will start practicing in Zion at Pierce Campus (corner of Eshcol Ave. and 23rd St.) on Tuesday & Thursday nights from 7:00P.M. until 9:00P.M.

In closing, we look forward to Supporting & Teaching Adolescents Reaching for the Stars.

Posted Mar 30/10 - Putting the “Fun” back in Fundraiser

We have joined with the Otis Spunkmeyer Company in an effort to help raise money for overhead cost. The money raised will help cover the cost of gym use, host our own tournaments and offset costs for seasons to come. You will receive an order form and envelope.

Please read over your order form and fill in all the information needed. Our goal is to have every player sell at the LEAST six tubes each. Please make all checks payable to the Waukegan Traveling STARS.

The deadline for the fundraiser is April 15th. All money will be collected by coach Darryl Presley. We will need everyone's participation in this wonderful event to be successful.
