GREAT COMEBACK GIRLS WE SAW MAXIMUM EFFORT ALL THREE INNINGS OF THE GAME AND DIDNT DROP OUR HEADS LIKE THE PREVIOUS GAME. FIRST; THE MISTAKES MADE DURING THE GAME . THROWING ERRORS AND THEN MORE THROWING ERRORS. IT HAPPENS TO ALL TEAMS. SECONDLY, WE DIDNT BACK UP THROWS TO BASES AND ON THE ONE THAT WE DID WE JUST DIDNT FIELD THE BALL PROPERLY. THAT LAST INNING THE PRESSURE WAS ON, WE SHOWED TREMENDOUS EFFORT, BUT MADE LITTLE MISTAKES WHICH WILL NORMALLY HAPPEN WHEN PUT IN THAT POSITION FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT'S OUR JOB AS COACHES TO NOW SHOW YOU WHAT WE DID WRONG IN THE GAME, AND EXPLAIN WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE, WHY YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT, IN A WAY THAT YOU ALL FULLY UNDERSTAND IT. GRAT THINGS ABOUT THE GAME, WE SPRINTED ON AND OFF THE FIELD EVERY SINGLE INNING WHICH WE DIDNT DO SAT. WE WHER WATCHING ALL OF YOU TO SEE WHO GOT THE MESSAGE THAT THERE IS NO WALKING ON THE FIELD AFTER THE GAME ON SATURDAY. THIRD, WE WERE HITTING THE BALL AND RUNNING HARD EVERYWHERE. THESE ARE THINGS WE DIDNT DO AS WELL ON SATURDAY, WHICH IS A GOOD SIGN OF THINGS TO COME. ITS OK TO MAKE MISTAKES BUT WE NEED TO LEARN FROM THEM SO SATURDAY AT SEMINOLE WE SHOULD BE EVEN BETTER THAN WE WERE ON MONDAY. GREAT JOB HORNETS ON A TOUGH LOSS BUT A LOSS WE CAN LEARN A LOT FROM. WE ALL SHOWED WINNING ATTITUDES AND PROVED THAT WE ARE A TEAM WILLING TO LISTEN, LEARN, WHICH WILL MAKE US A BETTER TEAM AFTER EVERY PRACTICE OR GAME. I'M SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU. THINGS TO REMEMBER 1) WHEN IN DOUBT OF WHERE TO THROW THE BALL, THROW IT TO THE PITCHER 2) DO NOT MAKE THROWS UNLESS YOU FEEL CONFIDENT THAT THE GIRL WILL BE THROWN OUT, IM THINKING OF THE LAST PLAY OF THE GAME. 3) IF YOU HAVE TWO STRIKES AND YOU SWING THE BAT RUN TO FIRST NO MATTER WHAT AND DONT STOP UNLESS THE FIRST BASE COACH TELLS YOU TO. 4) WHEN A BALL IS THROWN TO YOU OR HIT TO YOU YOUR MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO NOT LET THE BALL GET PAST YOU ESPECIALLY ON BAD THROWS WITH MORE THAN ONE RUNNER ON THE BASES. |

| MVP is Maya Cooney for making a great play at second base. Nice job Maya!........Now for a coach's rant!!! First, Thanks to the parents that do support my decisions as a coach!! I love these girls and try to show them that everytime I am with them!! Now, if you parents aren't aware of it, our team is made up of mostly new girls to the sport. The new girls are learning the game and aren't pro's. They are doing the best that they can for what little time they have had to get ready for the games. We have some girls that are getting very emotional at the games because of all the hollering and screaming being done by the parents. Everyone signed off on sportmanship in the beginning of the season when you signed your daughter up to play this game. You are not being good sports by making these girls cry!!! As for the parent that made the statement at today's game "You need to coach these girls"...I think that is what we have been doing since the beginning. We never said we were pros, but we have each child's best interest at heart!!! We can only do as much as a child and parent allows. If the child is told to do something over and over again, if they still refuse to listen then you can't blame the coaches. If you tell the girl to do something and a parent tells the girl to do something else, you can't blame the coaches. If the girls don't show up for the practices to work on plays, you can't blame the coaches. Next year my advice to you is if you think you can do a better job, step up and take on the responsibility. It's not as easy as you may think!! |

| Today was a lesson learned by all. Please know that we are playing girls in certain positions because we know that they can handle it. If the child isn't comfortable, please let us know. If we are aware of it, we will not put her in the position. We want them to have fun playing and not stress out.....Game notes - MVP was Danielle Blenis for her awesome hustling while on base and she made a great stop at shortstop that kept the runner from advancing. Keep up the great work Danielle! Unfortunately, we had to forfeit in the 2nd inning. We continued to play and Coach Joe loaned us a player. Thank you to Kayla for helping. There was one hit in the game by Rayna. |

Another Great game by all the girls!! First, thank you to Destin Kramer for playing up to make our team have 10 players!! The team we played tonight is one of the toughest in our league. Our girls did very well against them!......MVP for tonight's game was Myla Poole. She played a great game defensively as our 2nd base. She covered 2nd base constantly and stopped the ball twice to prevent the runner from getting past 1st. Keep up the great work Myla! |

| Tonight we had a scrimmage set up with Coach Joe's RedHots. Unfortunately, we did not have enough girls for a full team. It's very disappointing to me that some are not making it a point to make practices. Practices will improve you personally and help the team in the process!! Since we did't have enough, we decided to mix up the girls. Coach Joe and I each picked a team. We tried out some new girls pitching and girls in different positions. Everyone did a great job and had alot of fun!!! We did have our Maddie get hit with the ball, but she is doing good. Thanks to all of you for being a great part of our team!!! ~ Coach Theresa |

| Awesome game today!! We only had 9 players but we played like we had a whole team! We out hit them! Our team had five hits: Savannah had two singles, Allison and Rayna hit doubles, and Madison had a single. Seminole only got two hits. Everyone is now making contact with the ball, we are paying attention while on the bases, and routing our team on! Keep up the great work girls!!! |

| Tonight was a learning experience to all. Unfortunately, we had three girls get hit by the pitcher. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. The pitcher is an experienced ball player but is not experienced as a pitcher. She is just starting to learn this position as is some of our girls. The pitches that hit the players were unintentional. In the future, our fans need to remember sportsmanship going forward. We are to set examples for our daughters. On a good note, Kaitelyn had a single and several girls made contact to the ball. Everyone is improving. |

| Saturday, Mar. 13th - All team members must be in uniform and at the concession stand area at 9:45am for photos. Please bring a check to pay for your photo package. We have a softball game against Seminole Warhawks at their field. Please be at their field by Noon for warm-ups. Game starts at 12:30pm. | Tonight, our team played coach Joe's team. The girls did very well tonight. We got a few hits and scored runs! That is impressive for a team that has mostly girls that have never played ball before! We also learned there are a few things we need to work on. Next practice will work on those issues! Great job girls! |

Tonight unfortunately, we had Savannah get injured at practice and the girls made me very proud!! They remembered to take a knee where they were and wait until Savannah was tended to and removed from the field! Thank you for showing Savannah support!! ......The girls worked on fielding and hitting. We ask the girls to please be patient while players are batting, watching the coaches instruct fellow players is the best way to learn...........Parents were given a schedule and 10 Tips to Sportmanship. Please go over the tips with the girls. These tips are what makes a happy team! |

As a reminder to all the families, practice is one of the most important parts of being on the team. We understand that girls do get sick and have other activities, but we are asking them to please remember the girls that are showing up for practices regularly will be playing in the game first. | Tonight - Madi, Kaitelyn, Rayna, and Maya had pitching and catching practice. The girls are improving. We are proud of the heart they have! Afterwards, we had team practice. The girls worked on infield plays and getting the ball back to the pitcher quickly. The girls are learning more and more each practice. Thank you to the girls for paying attention and showing what they have learned to date! Uniforms were given out tonight. Those that haven't received their's needs to get in touch with me before photos around 9:30am. |

Due to the rain, practice was cancelled. We will Practice tomorrow near field 7 at 6:30pm until 8pm. After practice uniforms will be handed out. If anyone wants to come early to practice pitching I will be there at 5:30pm.

| Tonight the girls worked on fielding, where the plays are, and base running. They have shown more improvement. It is getting them one step closer to being ready for our opening day and a good season!! They have voted on a team name and chose the Demons. Interesting choice for a group of girls! | Tonight the girls had their first scrimmage against Coach Joe's team. The girls were given a chance to play several positions. Their performance showed that they are listening and learning very well! Savannah, Kaitelyn, and Rayna were given the chance to pitch. They showed alot of heart and did not give up! We thank you for that! Opening day is very near, we have some things to work on but we will be ready!! Keep up the great work girls!! The coaches are very proud of you!! |

Thank you to those that came out for tonight's practice. Due to the cold weather, we decided to cut it short to keep the girls from becoming sick. We focused on a throwing drill and a fielding drill. Please have the girls practice at home. Next Practice will Friday at 6pm on field 2. The girls will be working on positions. |
