Vancouver.....Congratulations to LichelHirakawa-Kao and his family on signing his 'letter of intent' to play NAIA baseball at UBC next fall.Lichel played for Team BC in the U17 Canada Cup in Sask. and also the Tournament 12 BC Team in Toronto.He was also named to the PBL All Conference 2nd team as shortstop.

Posted Jan 5/15 - 2nd Session-Off Season Training

Whalley BC.....The Chiefs announce details for the 2nd session of off season strength and conditioning.Starting Feb.2 Monday and running through Saturday March 28( 8 weeks )The weekly workout schedule will be very similar to the 1st session.You will be assigned workout groups to keep numbers more manageable.Mondays are for core work, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for hitting and throwing outside and Saturdays for pitchers and catchers.This is mandatory for all players.Cost is $199.00 payable to Whalley Chiefs Baseball.Questions can be directed to any of the Chiefs coaching staff.

Whalley BC...The Chiefs would like to announce 1st session details for a 10 week strength and conditioning program.Starting Monday Nov.10 and continuing 6 weeks ending Sat.December 20 and then continuing after the Christmas break on Monday January 5.2015 and run 4 weeks through Jan.31st....January 17-20 the Chiefs will be in Phoenix.The program will be at the Whalley Indoor Facility located at Whalley Ball Park.All boys aspiring to make the Sr. Whalley Chiefs program are encouraged to register.A typical week will start Mondays at 5:30pm and run through 9:30pm.Boys will be divided into manageable groups for 1 hour each with Gord Kerr, our strength and conditioning coach.Tuesdays will be at the cage from 5:30pm to 9:30pm and be concentrated on hitting with Cole Armstrong/Graig Merritt and staff.Video and swing analysis will be recorded and reviewed by the staff.Wednesdays are off days.Thursdays back at Whalley from 5:30pm to 9:30pm and working again on swing and hitting.Fridays are off days.Saturdays are in the cage or outside weather permitting working on throwing and pitching.Drew Parker will work with pitchers.Catcher's will have specific times also on Saturday with Ernie Hawkins, Cole Armstrong and Craig Merritt.Sundays TBD.The cost is $499 which includes rental of the facility,a workout T shirt, Chiefs shorts & toque and a Chiefs Majestic Hoodie.All instrcuction is by qualified Chiefs staff.Any questions can be directed to GM Paul Hargreaves or coaching staff.

The EMC is pleased to announce the recipients of the All-Conference Awards for “Team of the Year” and “Organization of the Year”. The “Team of the Year” award is based on on-field performance where as the “Organization of the Year” is based on off-field performance and how an organization promotes the game of baseball.

The Chiefs announce details for Fall Ball 2014 at Whalley Ball Park and Indoor Training Facility.Open to boys aged 13 to 17 and who live in the Chiefs PBL boundaries or have been released by other PBL Teams.Opening night is Sept.2 at 6:00pm and will conclude in late October weather permitting.The Chiefs plan to enter 2 teams in Las Vegas has been postponed.The format will be 3 nights a week, Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday practices , workouts and inter squad games starting at 6pm and going to app 9:30pm.Weekends will be for home and away games with PBL teams and Washington teams.Instruction will be from all 9 of the Chiefs qualified staff and Cole Armstong, Coach Chicago White Sox.Cost is $209.00 which will include a game top and hat and will pay for park time and umpires.Questions can be directed to GM Paul Hargreaves or any of the Chiefs coaching staff.

2014 BCPBL All-Conference & Individual Awards Announced

RHP Ryan Matsuda (Vancouver Cannons) was named League MVP. Top Batter was Jacob Robazza (Whalley Chiefs), Top Pitcher Colton Wood (Victoria Mariners), Rookie of the Year was a tie between Lenn Nakatsuka (Parksville Royals) and Josh Burgman (Nanaimo Pirates), and the Golden Glove went to Kyle McComb (Langley Blaze). North Shore Twins led the way with 5 players selected to the 1st & 2nd All-Conference teams, followed by Whalley Chiefs with 4 selections. See the All-Conference selections.R

VBN SportsThe 2014 BCPBL Championship begins on Friday, August 1st at Whalley Stadium. ALL games will be Televised Live by VBN Sports at http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/vbn.portal It would be greatly appreciated if you could please circulate this website to as many of your baseball contacts as possible. In addition the games will be available to watch up to 90 days after the Tournament. If we don't see you at the park, watch the games online.
