Notes:
With the season hangin in the balance, the Bluejays face Delano and last year draftee Jeff Janzen. The Bluejays struck 1st with a unearned run, Smothers , hit a sac fly to score Johnson. Then after Boomer and Janzen hung some zero's on the board, the 5th inn is when the runs would come. 5th inn, Ode started it with a single,then after 2 outs, Johnson singled, and Dean plated Ode. Smothers ripped a double, Johnson scored and Dean gunned down at the plate.3-0 Bottom 5, After 2 quick outs, then a error, walk hit gave Delano a unearned run. 3-1. top 6th, Lang got the run right back leading off with a solo HR, 4-1 Bottom, 6th, a couple hits and Delano chips away with another run. 4-2. Bluejays answer right back with Fc by Dean to score ode, and a sac fly by Smothers to score Slater. 6-2 Delano gets 1 back in bottom 6-3 top 8. Bases loaded 2 out, Johnson singles home 2 runs, Ditty gets throw out at 3rd but the 8th run just crosses before the out, 8-3 Delano adds 1 in bottom 8th and Bluejays hang on to win 8-4. On the hill, Boomer got the start going 6 inn, 1 ER, 6 K's. Smothers got the 3 inn save . The Bluejays offensive attack, put up 14 hits,even without Eric, who is out injured with a bad Hamstring. Mulitple Bluejays had a multi hit game. Plato plays Sunday at 4:30, vs loser of Winsted/Hutch game. W Boomer L Janzen Save Smother Side notes, Plato had 2 runners thrown out at the plate. Slater should have had a double but sniper got him rounding 1st. Also a hit and run with Boomer on 1st, was a little circus. Ode hits a bloop, SS drives, has the ball Boomer runs back to 1st, then ruled a drop, Boomer runs back to 2nd where he is just tagged out, and the benny hill Music was blarring over the sound system, which sent the dug out into a frenzy.......
