Every player worked extre mely hard and it'\;s easy to see that the Jets will be a very tough te am to beat this year. The fun started when Andrew went end to end and scor ed not only the Jets first goal of the season\, but also his first ever go al. He didn'\;t stop there adding another shortly after. Two other Jet s\, Lucas and Gavin also scored there first ever goals and its clear that both of these players will score many more before the season ends. The Red Wings were a very skilled Team led by a big Centerman named Oli who could really fly\, but the teamwork of the jets made it extremely hard for him a s he might beat one jet but the 2nd and 3rd Jet would shut him down time a nd Time again. AJ had a real solid game defensively\, and his late goal w as a thing of beauty. The one thing that the RedWings clearly had no answe r for was the slot presence of Big Owen. Try as they might the Wings could n'\;t move Owen\, and his ability to screen the goalie was a big reaso n why the jets were able to score so many goals. Great job to every player on the team. I can'\;t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Mason showed that he is one of the best players in the league and took the game over at times wit h his power and speed. Gavin worked hard all game\, and he and AJ were our best back checkers today by far.Gavin also scored several goals today\, a nd his two way play is exactly what coaches love to see. Andrew is another player who never takes a shift off\, and today was no exception. Lastly M att should be commended for his strong positional play. When the SW team finally were ab le to spring their best player loose on a break away\, his hard high shot\ , was masterfully stopped by Gavin who refused to back down to any of the big shooters on the other team. When the whistle finally did blow to signa l a line change\, it was no reprieve for The SW team\, because big Mason a nd Tyler were cruising around the ice like freight trains and they won eve ry puck battle they engaged in today. Tyler then sparked the attac k and put the Jets on the board with a hard shot that picked the corner. T his was a sign of things to come as Tyler went on to play one of his best games of the season\, scoring several more goal along the way.\n\nAs the 2 nd and 3rd periods unfolded the Jets turned the game in their favour with Bodin\,Lucas\,Aiden\, Mason and Rhett all scoring to provide the offence. He faked left then right and put a hard shot toward the top corner\, but t o his surprise Big Owen with his lightening fast reflexes somehow got a p iece of it to save the day.\nthe Jets were so inspired by their goaltender that they came out blasting in third period. Marshall would score a coupl e beauties\, Andrew was also really strong today\, and the Jets really sho wed what they were made of.\n\nOwen who was not feeling great today\, hung in there and never gave up and his turning point save made the difference for the Jets. \n\nOwen was awarded the hardest working Jet award for his efforts. Matt\,Rhett\, Tyler\, and Bodin accounted for most of the scoring with each player sniping multiple goals. When The Flyers would make a dash down the ice\, it was rare that they would ever make it past center ice before A.J. would swoop in and steal the puck away.\n\nOn the other line Owen\,a nd Andrew had real strong games defensively while Gavin and Aiden made num erous end to end rushes scoring goals more often than not. Two Penguins tried mightly to knock the speedy Gavin down but he could nt and wouldn'\;t be stopped. As Aiden and Marshall raced to help thei r team mate\, One particularily feisty Penguin tried to dole out some hard shots to Marshall\, but to his credit he didnt retaliate and skated throu gh the trouble leaving the frustrated penguin in his dust. Gavin played his best game of h e year\, and was the engine that made his line go. Rhett was an offensive force scoring four goals today. \n\nDefensively as always it started with AJ\, and Tyler and Bodin were master thieves today stealing the puck from their opponents on several occasions. Matt showed today that he has lots o f guts\, as a couple times he absorbed big hits in order to make a play th at sprang a teammate loose for a goal.\n\nAiden and Owen really had their feet moving today and seemed to be always around the puck\, but the hardes t working Jet today was Andrew. Andrew scored several goals today because he refused to give up until the job was done. 'The minister of Defence 'was on fire today stoping countless opponents dead in their trac ks.\n\nThe Jets out chanced the Bruins\, but ran into some really strong g oaltending\, and in the end that was what preserved the tie for the Bruins .\n\nLucas opened the scoring for the Jets and played a great two way game today dominating both ends of the ice.\n\nMatt and Rhett both had a coupl e monster shifts today and had the fans on the edge of their seats.\n\nThe Bruins held a slight lead heading into the third period but late goals by Tyler\, and Mason saved the day and evened it up for the Jets.\n\nOther s tand outs today were Aiden\, Marshall and Owen who had to play short hande d most of the game with Gavin and Andrew away for this one.\n\nFinally a t ruly gutsy effort was put forth by Bodin who was clearly under the weather \, but managed to hang in their and make a solid contribution.\n\nIn the e nd the whole team was awarded the hardest working Jet award\, and today� 39\;s best back checker Mason accepted the helmet on behalf of the Team. The line of Tyler\,Mas on\, Rhett and Bodin were like a pack of wolves\, constantly slicing in to steal pucks and shut down the attack. All would each score some highlight reel goals today and teamwork is the best word to describe their effort t oday.\n\nThe other line of Matt\,Ajay\,Lucas\,Gavin\, and Owen were relent less in their attack. To say that their line scored 20 goals today would n ot be far fetched. They kept the play in the SW end all game and passed th e puck very well.\n\nThe top goaltender today was Ajay who even used his f ace mask to stop one really hard shot.\n\nMatt was awarded the hardest wo rking Jet award today. He played a solid two way game today\, and filled t he SW net with a whole bunch of pretty goals.\n\nGreat job team. In order to stop hi m it takes a total team effort and that is exactly what the Jets did this week. Every time their big gun touched the puck the Jets wolf pack began t o swarm. Tyler\, Rhett\, Matt\, Mason and Bodin were relentless with at le ast three players always attacking the puck carrier.\n\nThe Jets other lin e was short staffed this week with both Lucas and Gavin away\, but Owen\, Aiden Ajay\, Marshall and Andrew more than picked up the slack.\n\nAjay an d Andrew provided most of he scoring this week with both having multi goal games.\n\nTyler had the save of the game when the RedWings big sniper cam e down the left wing and fired a laser beam at the top right corner of the net. The coaches were already starting to say nice goal\, when at the las t second Tyler launched himself across the net and somehow managed to get a shoulder on the puck sending it harmlessly into the corner.\n\nThe score remained tied late in the game and with 10 seconds left the RedWings got a break away and were streaking in towards Owen in the Jets net. It looked like it would all come down to this play\, but out of no where came Andre w with one of the best back checks of the season and at the last moment he knocked the puck off the opponents stick preserving the tie for the Jets. \n\nAndrews awesome game earned him he hardest working Jet Award this week .
