RE: Congrats and Good Luck
I wanted to take this opportunity to let all of you know how proud we are of the WHS softball program. It truly has been a joy to watch the program grow from a fledgling team in ’06 to the contender it is today. Congratulations on your district and bi-district titles. You have earned the first softball banner in WHS history to be displayed in your gym. However, your work is not yet done. You are not only embarking on what I predict will be a long play-off run, but the legacy you will leave for years to come.
You have represented yourselves, your school, and the town of Frisco with true class and sportsmanship. I appreciate all the hard work and long hours you have put into the program. You will be an example for all other programs to follow on how far a team can go that is well coached, disciplined, and has fun when they play the game. There are no guarantees about the future, so play like there is no tomorrow. If you play with confidence and play together as a team, the winning will take care of itself.
Good luck and I think I speak for all of Frisco when I say, we are proud of you.

Unfortunately, the rally fell short as Bonham dug themselves out of the hole and only allowed Jules's Homerun to score. Alexis Cantu then put on a Tremendous pitching exibition shutting Bonham down with 3 strikeouts on the first three batters in the 4th, 6th, and 7th innings. In the 5th, she ended the inning by striking out the 1st, 3rd and 4th batters as well. Alexis ended up striking out 17 and only walking 1.
