The Wolverines Beat Denison!!!

Wakeland Shut Out Denison on Friday night 5 to 0.  Alexis Cantu Hit another Homerun, and the Team had a total of 12 hits!!

The Ladies will be playing Sherman at home on Monday night in what is sure to be a Great Game!!

The Wolverines Battle Centennial and Remain Undefeated!!!

Wakeland Shut Out Centennial on Tuesday night during hurricane conditions.  The Ladies were able to scratch a run in the 7th to win 1 - 0!!

They will be travelling to Denison on Friday!!

 The Wolverines Beat McKinney North and McKinney High to remain Undefeated!!!

Wakeland Shut Out McKinney North on Tuesday with a Grand Slam By Hannah Newcomb, and then turned around Friday night and beat McKinney High 7-1 with a 2 run Homerun by Alexis Cantu.  See the stats for the other 18 Hits and 17 RBIs!!

The Ladies will be travelling to Centennial on Tuesday to Battle The Titans!!

Wakeland Remains Undefeated!! 

The Wolverines Beat Frisco Tuesday evening 8 to 2 off 12 Hits.  Alexis Cantu hit a solo Homerun, Brittany Ghele and Hannah Newcomb each had a triple, while Kelci Garza and Tess Soefje each hit Doubles.

The Ladies will be at Liberty on Friday to take on the Redhawks!!

Wakeland Beats Denison to go 3 and 0 in District!!!

The Wolverines took down Denison Monday evening 5 to 1.  Alexis Cantu had 15 Strikouts, Jaime Ohm, Alexis, Monika Reichhart, Darian Dunn all had hits, and runs were scored by Ashley McDonald, Taylor Redmond, Brittany Ghele, Darian and Jaime.  The Ladies will be in Sherman to take on the Bearcats on Thursday!!!

Wolverines Take Down Centennial 1 - 0!!!

Wakeland Beat Centennial 1 to Nothing behind the 12 Strikeout pitching of Alexis Cantu, and the excellent Defense by the Entire Team.  The only run of the Game, and the only hit for Wakeland came in the second inning when Darian Dunn hit her First Homerun of the season!!!

The Ladies will Host Denison on Monday Night at WHS.  Come out and show your support!!!

Wolverines Win District Opener on the Road!!!

Wakeland Beat McKinney 1 to Nothing behind the pitching of Alexis Cantu, and the excellent fielding by Kelci Garza, Jaime Ohm and the rest of the Wolverines.  The only run of the Game was by Jaime Ohm in the top of the 5th.

The Ladies will take on Centennial Friday Night at Home.  Come out and watch an exciting game!!!

Wakeland Beats Plano 2-0!!

Brooke Cline Started the scoring off in the first inning this time with a home run over the leftfield fense.  Later she added a Double to a Great batting performance. Brittany Ghele added a single, and Alexis Cantu Struckout 10 in a Shutout Victory over the Lady Wildcats.

Wakeland Remains Undefeated Through 1^st Round of the Southlake Tournament

Wakeland Shuts Out Wylie HS and Western Hills HS on the first day of the Southlake Tournament.  Alexis Cantu pitched a shutout in both games, and had a total of 24 Strikeouts!!!!  The entire team played Outstanding in the field and at bat!!  They play again tomorrow at 12 and 4pm.

Wakeland gets back at Forney, Winning 4 - 3 in the First game of the Sulphur Springs Tournament!!!

 

Wakeland Beat Forney 4 to 3 to open up the Sulphur Springs Tournament.  2 more Wolverines add their name to the Homerun List.  Hannah Newcomb and Monika Reichhardt both knocked one out of the park Thursday afternoon.  Alexis Cantu had 2 Doubles, while Kelci Garza, Monika, and Jaime Ohm each hit a Double as well.  Singles were hit by Brook Cline and Tess Soefje.

 

It was an exciting game, where the Wolverine overcame some obstacles to seal the game in the 5th.  The Ladies will take on Celina at 11:30 and Wills Point at 5:30 Friday!!

Wakeland Beat Aledo High School 11 - 0 in 5 innings Wednesday night.  The Ladies started out strong with a Homerun by Brittany Ghele and another by Alexis Cantu!!
