Andy Ysalgue- Head Baseball Coach:  Coach Ysalgue enters his second season as the head baseball coach at JOJ.  In 2010-2011, he led the Jaguars to their first victory in several years, when the Jags beat arch rivals Butler High School.  In 1994, he graduated from Miami Southridge Senior High, located in Miami, Florida.  Upon graduating from high school, he received a scholarship to play baseball at Broward Community College, in Davie, Florida until 1996.  He then transferred to Armstrong Atlantic State University, located in Savannah, Georgia, where he played baseball from 1996-1998.  At Armstrong, Coach Ysalgue received 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region honors as a catcher.  In 1999, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

 

Tyron Childress- Assistant Coach:  Coach Childress enters his second season as assistant coach at JOJ.  He was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama.  Coach Childress attended JOJ, where he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football.  While at JOJ, he earned the James Major Belle, Jr. Award for playing three sports and maintaining a B+ GPA.  Coach Childress earned a baseball scholarship to Alabama A&M University, where he earned MVP honors his freshman and senior year.  In 2008, he ranked 5th in the nation and 1st among Historic Black College and Universities in batting average.

 

Danny Johnson- Assistant Coach: Coach Johnson enters his first season as an assistant coach for the baseball program at JOJ.  Coach Johnson is also on the football coaching staff.
