Belleville Giants Waiver and Contract Agreement.



This Agreement is between______________________(hereinafter” Player”) and ________________, a ___________________________ (limited Liability company) or (corporation) or (limited Partnership) or (partnership), (hereinafter” Club”), operating under the name of the ____________________ as a member of the Great Lakes Football League. (Hereinafter “GLFL”)

The Club wishes to enlist Player, and Player wishes to participate, as a skilled football player for the Club.

In consideration of the promises made by each to the other, Player and Club agree as flows:

1. Terms

This Agreement covers _______________ Football Season(s), and will begin on date of execution or and end on _____________________, unless extended, terminated or renewed as specified elsewhere in this contract.


2. Services

Club contracts Player as a skilled football player, Player accepts such contractual obligation. Player agrees to give his best efforts and loyalty to the Club, and to perform on and off the field with the appropriate recognition of the fact that the success of semi-professional football depends largely on public respect for and approval of those associated with the game. Player will report promptly for practice and participate fully in all Club official events. Players will also participate in all practice sessions, all pre-season, regular season and post-season scheduled football games for the Club. During pre-season, season, and post season players will not engage in any games not sanctioned by the Great Lakes Football League, or the Club.

3. Other Football Activities.

Without prior consent of the Club, Will not engage in any football related activities not related to the Club. Player represents that he has special, exceptional and unique knowledge, skill ability, and experience as a football player, the loss of which cannot be estimated with any certainty and cannot be fairly or adequately compensated by damages. Player therefore agrees that Club will have the right, in addition to any other right which Club may possess, to enjoin player by appropriate proceedings from playing football or engaging in football related activities other than for the Club.

4. Intellectual Property, Licensing, Publicity, and Merchandising


4.1 (a) Player grants the Belleville Giants Club and the GLFL, separately and together, the authority to use Player’s name and picture for publicity and the promotion of the Club and GLFL or any member clubs of the GLFL in newspapers, magazines, motion pictures, game promotions, programs and roster manuals, broadcast and telecast, and all other publicity and advertising media, provided such publicity and promotion does not constitute an endorsement by Player of a commercial product. Player will cooperate and not contest thee rights of the GLFL or BG Giants, or the right of the BG Giants/GLFL to sell, produce or market game film.

(b) Player hereby assigns to the Belleville Giants/ GLFL and its licensing affiliates, if any the exclusive right to use and to grant to persons, films or corporations (collectively “licensees”) the right to use player’s name, signature facsimile, voice, picture, photograph, likeness and/ or biological information (collectively “image”). If Player’s inclusion in a particular GLFL licensing or promotional program is precluded by an individual exclusive endorsement agreement, and Player provides the Belleville Giants with timely written notice of that preclusion, the Belleville Giants will exclude Player from that particular program.


C Rights and Waivers
Player understands and acknowledges that dangers of personal injury are inherent in participating in the sport of football whether in a game, scrimmage, exercise (including, but not limited to, weight training), practice sessions, clinic or demonstration, and expressly and voluntarily assumes all risk of death or personal injury sustained while participating in such activities, including the risk of hidden, latent or obvious defects in any of the facilities or equipment used. Player acknowledges the possibility that he or his successors may not fully know the number or magnitude of all the potential liabilities, claims, demands or causes of action (together, “Claims”) but, nevertheless intends to assume the risk of such death or personal injury. The player also forever releases the Belleville Giants Minor League Football Organization, and Belleville Giants Sports Management and Entertainment, shareholders partners, members, league officers of each of the foregoing from any type of claims arising from injury or damages sustained as a member of the Club.

D. Termination of Contract

For any reason within the legal confines of the organization a player can be terminated from the team including not showing up prepared and ready to be an active member of the team during, games, practice, promotional events. Each party may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason provided. Player must submit a written letter notarized by an active states notary pursuant to the reason for termination. If a player terminates his contract they may not play for any other league or team for the term of one year.

E Club Rules

By signing this contract you are entering into a legal agreement with the Belleville Giants that you will abide by all of the organizations rules and code of conduct. Players that he will not miss any of the schedule practices unless a grievances in the family or immediate hardship has taken place. Players agree to all team fees for contract year. Players agrees that a situation that is not conducive to the Belleville Giants Organization arises then he will be asked to remove himself from affiliation with the club for a term of 12 to 24 months depending on the severity of the infraction. (Infractions including fighting with teammates, Officials, Management. No player shall degrade any player on the team will say player is an active member.
