PARSIPPANY TOURNAMENT

 

This tournament was a great learning tool for the boys seeing us play against good teams from manhatten and brooklyn and randolph,  the first game was against manhatten and it started off with the other team pressuring us.  and with some loose defending,  we conceded  we did pull one back when a shot from range saw the goalie spill it into the back of the net.  manhatten get one back before half time to take the lead 2-1.  in the second half we started to pressure a bit more and were rewarded when our striker had the composer to dribble round the goalie before striking it in off the post. however manhatten won it with a late on goal which there was nothing our goalie could do about it.

Second game saw us go against a good brooklyn team ,  landslide did score first which came from a good ball over the top which kept bouncing and their our striker hit it off the bounce into the top of the net.  unforunatly it was a one way game with landslide defending  most of the game,  but i feel we learnt a good lesson about marking and getting tighters to players who they need to mark.

3rd game    ....trainer unavailble...heavy loss to arsenal

 

4th game saw us against randolph and after a big talk from myself and the g.m  about everything we have worked on this season and what we wanted, the boys listened and came out on fire scoring 4 very quick goals from great passing ability and good communication,  i wished they started the tournament in that fashion and we may have had some tighter games.  i hope we learn from this game and carry it on into the league.
