
Force Get First Win Against Arch Angels

After an opening week loss to the Nebraska Strikers, the Iowa Force rebounded in dominating fashion on May 14th with a 92-76 victory over the Missouri Arch Angels.
After a close first quarter that ended in a score of 18-17 in favor of the Force, the Force got hot in the 2nd quarter and took a 48-37 lead into halftime. The Force were lead by G Charmaine Bell, who scored 16 points in the 1st half, shooting 5/8 from behind the arc.
The Force carried that momentum into the 2nd half and never looked back. With help from four new players not on the roster in their first game, the Force powered their way to a 92-76 victory. Charmaine Bell lead all scorers with 29 points, shooting 8/13 from 3-point range.
Rebecca Kramer added 16 points, 5 assists and 3 steals and Alison Nagel had 14 points and 4 rebounds.
After securing victory number one on the season, the Force look for win number two against the St. Louis Surge next Saturday May 21st at 1:00 at AIB College of Business in Des Moines.
