Angels Get 5th WCL Win vs Kamloops Northpaws

The Coquitlam Angels headed to Kamloops BC to take on the Northpaws of the West Coast League.
Game one saturday night the Angels took a 1-0 lead through until the 4th inning with a strong 1 hit scoreless 3 innings from Brendan Lyons. The Northpaws would put up 4 runs in the bottom of the fourth on a series of hits on Angels rookie Jeff Pacholko. The Angels would string together a few hits but lack of timely hitting lead to the Northpaws winning 5-1.
Sunday the Angels got out to a quick 8 run lead through the first two innings. Led by Nolan Anderson who had 3 hits on the day, Micheal Murphy with 3 RBI and Mitchel Jackman with two hits and two runs scored. Denver Wynn would shut the Northpaws down, throwing 4 innings with 5 k’s giving up one run. Brett Honeysett and Anthony Porcellato would combine for 3 scoreless innings and 2 k’s each leading the Angels winning 8-1.
The Coquitlam Angels have now racked up 5 wins over teams in the WCL.
