BCYBLC Announces Proposed Site Location
The BCYBLC is happy to announce it has formally entered into a LOI agreement with the District of Summerland to purchase a 92 acre parcel of land for the proposed BCYBLC.
The proposed site location is 5 minutes from the Summerland downtown core and includes land on both east/west side of the Princeton-Summerland Highway which will become the main road of the complex. The existing Princeton-Summerland Hwy would be rerouted later on in the development.
'We are glad to be here - it's been a long process with big highs and as big lows along the way. Finding the right location that met the needs in every capacity was the key to the success of this development.
For us, the location wasn't just about acreage - it was about becoming part of a community that would embrace the vision of what we want to achieve now and in the future. The District of Summerland Administration and the community have far exceeded our hopes in finding that unique working relationship. We very much look forward to the future and bringing the BCYBLC to life.'
Site studies will soon get underway with anticipated completion of 6-8 weeks. Critical studies include Environmental, Traffic Impact and Storm Drainage/Waste Disposal. Each of these studies were completed on a former proposed project for the land in question and although the BCYBLC is a new project, many terms of reference are available to minimize time.
'We did our homework on all issues prior to the Letter of Intent submission. The last thing we wanted was to run aground after the fact.'
Interested persons can follow BCYBLC progress via video clips that will be uploaded to Youtube and carried on the Play Ball website's own Jetvision 'TV' channel. The Jetvision player library will be updated as we move through the process and include interviews and all land work.
