JP threw 1 and 2/3 innings of relief in the 5-4 win over Cologne Friday nite. Panning went off on Cologne for a homer in his 1st AB and an RBI single in his 2nd AB to lead YA into the 2nd round of the playoffs, for a matchup with Brownton.

YA defeats the Hollanders, move onto Brownton
YA beat Cologne in a bit of a hairy one, where Cologne showed they have a little bit of comeback to them. However, YA takes the game 5-4 and sweep the series in 2 games.
Kuerschner kept YA off the ball in his 2nd outting of the year against YA. The Cardinals pieced runs against him early taking the early 5-0 lead. From then on out, YA had a tough time producing a run. During that time, Cologne made a gallant comeback. Starting pitcher Kohls cruised early, but the Hollanders figured him out a little as the game went on and chipped away, finally getting into the Cardinal bullpen in the 7th inning. The Hollanders used their momentum to get a couple more off reliever JP Schwartz, but in the end he closed the door on the Hollanders and on their season.

YA visits Brownton Wed nite at 8pm for game 1. Game 2 will be played at YA at 8pm and an if necessary game will be played Sunday in Brownton.
