Countdown to WILDCATS 2.0 TRAINING (Jan 3/10)

WILDCATS SCHEDULE IS NOW UNDER "CALENDAR" LINKS AT LEFT!

Please mark the dates. In addition to calendar entries, we are probably going to have Brookhaven league games one night a week (Tuesdays last year).  They are double-headers.  Schedule starts mid-June and runs into 1st week in August.  No schedule yet.

PLEASE BE SURE TO ATTEND ALL WINTER TRAINING!

It's a great opportunity for all.

WAIVERS!  If you have NOT yet provided a completed waiver form, please download a waiver from our handouts section and bring a completed copy to practice. 

What else to bring:

* Glove
* Bat (for use with pitching macines)
* Knee pads and sweat pants
* Mouthguard
* Batting Helmet
* Water and a snack for break in practice

The coaches for the Beach Girls Gold 18U fastpitch team have agreed to come to SYS to train our Wildcat players and other players in the community this winter (see schedule) using links at left.

Joe Botti has coached Division 1 college softball at Hofstra, St. Peter's and Ocean County College.  The Beach Girls Gold have a remarkable track record:

* Gold Nationals 7 times in last 11 years.
* 5 Time Mid-Atlantic Gold Champions.
*95% of players go to division 1 schools--including Princeton, Harvard, Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Brown, Yale, Fordham, UNC, LSU, UCLA and more.

Joe comes with over 30 years experience training top softball players (and pitchers) and helping them "get noticed" by college coaches.  He and his assistant Lerry Brezinski represent a level of coaching that has never been available here on the East End.  For details on the Beach Girls Gold, click on the "links" at left.  Check the link.  You WILL be impressed.

WE WILL HAVE ONLY 15 SPOTS AVAILABLE for Wildcats and other players.  Joe will be running 7 out of 8 winter workouts for a total of 21 hours.  (11:15-2:15-Sunday, Jan 3, 17, 24, 31 & Feb 7, 21, 28) The cost per session is $45 or $315 for the whole program.  This comes to $15/hour--which is LESS per hour than similar sports training.  This is approximately $100 more than the cost for winter training last year at East End Ice.  The extra expense is well worth it. 

Please note:  It has always been Wildcat policy to never let financial expense keep a player from competing with us.  If you are concerned about this, please do NOT let it stop your daughter from attending.

*Victories over every major "brand-name" fastpitch team on Long Island that have earned the Wildcats competitive respect.
