"Tennessee Field of The Year" Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association
To all the people who have helped with turning our field around, I can't say thank you enough. For every dime raised and donated, thank you again. This is a symbol of what dreams, determination, and a willingness to make a change for the better can do.
This started before me. It started when dad wanted to make that "change" and offer our students something different that had really not been accepted in this school or community. I have been fortunate enough to have contacts and resources better than he had in the early and mid 1990's. It is he who provides the power, I just get to drive the car.
To all the players who have lifted a shovel or hauled in a load of dirt or carried sod or moved a paint brush, this is your recognition. Thanks to Lou Warner who got us rolling in 2005. To Bill Marbet and Souther Athletic Fields, Coach Mark Pickle, TJ Derrick, Pat Swallows (TBCA President), and all the regional directors of the TBCA, we say Thank You for this humbling award.
Finally, to all current and future players and parents, to steal the line from TCHS football coach Kevin Creasy, WE AINT DONE YET!
There are many projects down we want to complete over the next few seasons. So, if you are a parent or player, lets get to work and help TCHS Baseball continue to grow and make this facility the best in Tennessee for many, many years to come. - Coach Cothron
"DREAMS ARE SOMEWHAT IMPROBABLE, BUT NEVER IMPOSSIBLE"
Visualize what you really want, and if you ardently desire it, sincerely believe you are worthy of it, and enthusiastically work at it, making the wisest choices you can; it absolutely must come to pass......
