Columbus Lady Wings Semi-Pro Basketball

Columbus Lady Wings defeats Montgomery Dream 92 to 68

            COLUMBUS, GA, May 30, 2012:  The Columbus Lady Wings opened the 2012 season with a 94-69 victory over the Douglasville Mustangs and defeated Montgomery Dream bringing their season to 2 and 0.  The Lady Wings are off and running to a fantastic start.

            Brittaney Thomas led the Lady Wings to victory scoring 19 points.  Shanika Carter followed Brittaney with 16 points.  Jennifer Long managed to score 13 points.  Kendra Smith, Monica Sicka, and Dominique Gilbert all supported  the top scorers with 9 points each.

            The Columbus Lady Wings will take on Gulf Coast Tropics Saturday, June 2  4:00 PM at Northside High School Gym.  Regular tickets are $8.00, discount tickets are $7.00 for military, students, Muscogee County School District Employees, and Senior Citizens 60 and up with proper ID.  Children 5 and under are admitted FREE.  Group tickets are also available and can be purchased at Chalmers Support Services located at 3907 Macon Road, Suite B.
