FIRST PERIOD
Riels opened the scoring at the 14:00 minute mark when Brett Charette finished off
a three-way passing play from Brian Dies and Russell Trudeau.
Then at 17:01 on the power play, Tyler Pchajek scored from Mason and Melna.
The score was tied 1 – 1 after the first. Riels outshot the Vics 11 – 6.
SECOND PERIOD
Riels scored at 2:27 of the second on a beautiful dangle from Chris Prejet making a
nice move on Vics net minder Nolan Bray to put the Riels ahead 2 – 1 assists came
from Giesbrecht and Fehr.
Jens Giesbrecht on the power play at 7:08 beat Bray with the help of Russell
Trudeau.
Brian Dies scored at 12:02 unassisted for a 4 – 1 lead.
VIcs Tyler Pchajek scored at 13:57 from Daniel Popel to cut the lead 4 – 2. Riels out
shot the Vics 15 – 8.
THIRD PERIOD
Riels played a sound game throughout winning the battles in the offensive zone,
taking the play to the Vics. The score could have been one sided but the Vics net
minder Bray made some key saves to keep the Vics close. The Vics scored at 11:32
Brady Angus from Jared Neufeld to make it close.
Brian Michiels scored an empty net goal at 19:49 to seal the deal fro the Riels for
their 11th
straight win. Riels out shot the Vics 14 – 6 in the 3rd
total for the Riels.
