Posted Oct 7/13 - Riels Rally Behind Bell for the 6th

FIRST PERIOD

Connor Bell stood tall throughout the game and helped give the Riels their 6th

straight win! The Riels had a very good 1st

It took 3 minutes and 65 seconds for Michael Gorrie to continue his scoring streak

on the power play when he beat the Twins D-man wide inside the line and drilled a

low shot through the 5 hole on goal tender Michael Newman. Assists went to Sean

Christensen and Ryan Wilgosh. That was the only goal registered in that period.

 

 period outshooting the Twins 19-4.

SECOND PERIOD

The Riels made it 2 -0 at 1:57 of the second when Glen Young worked hard in the

neutral zone, when he found Gorrie for his second of the night beating Twins net

minder Newman to shelf.

Glen Young finished off a play on the rebound at 14:08 assists went to Christensen

and Michaels. Then at 18:49, Brian Michaels made it 4 – 0 from Gorrie and Young at

18:49.

The Riels outshot the Twins 15:10.

THIRD PERIOD

The Twins worked hard making things happen but could not beat Riels net minder

Connor Bell. The Twins finally broke the bubble at 18:15 of the third on a goal

mouth scramble when Nick Doyle tapped it in from Berrington and Yocom. The

Twins outshot the Riels 14 – 8 in the third.

The Riels outshot the Twins 42 -28 in the game. Highlights were the play of

defensemen Travis Ziprick, Ryan Wilgosh and Miguel Gauthier. Forward Skyler

Eastman was a stand out working hard causing turnovers every shift!
