| Posted Jun 3/11 - 49ers open Border Wars Tournament with a "W" |
| Behind another strong outing by Niner pitcher, Nick Nacarato, the Northeast 49ers opened up the Border Wars tournament with a 8-0 romping over the Trail Jays. The 49ers split with the Jays in a non conference double header last Friday. Lead off hitter Ryan Leonne (Central Valley) and 9 hole hitter Calvin Connall (Chewelah) both got off the snide with two hits a piece in the victory. Aaron Eskue (Deer Park) continues his double streak with 2 more today for a total of 6 in three games. The 49ers play the Spokane North Stars at 10:00 am tomorrow and the Spokane Blue Devils at 3:00 pm with a single game on Sunday at 1:00 pm against the Praire Cardinals out of Post Falls for the final game of the tournament. These final three games will all be played at AK Jackson field (Shadle Park High School) in Spokane, WA. |
