Although the Dodgers fell just short of their goal of qualifying for the Provincial Championship tournament, the coaches and management were pleased with the team's overall development on the season and especially about the solid foundation that has been laid for 2013 and subsequent years.  Injuries to key personnel (Sean Donnelly who was lost to a season-ending knee injury and who had been expected to hit for power and average in the middle of the order, and Yi-An Pan who missed most of the year due to a broken hand) limited the coaches' options.  The youth of the team (7 of 12 on the roster were 1998 born) also played a big role in the number of wins as it was more difficult for the young squad to overcome the challenges created by the grueling schedule.  Despite these challenges, the pair of wins Saturday brought the regular season win total to a respectable 14.  And with the possibility of as many as 7 returning players, Head Coach Darren Rock and his coaching staff are looking to build on the success and contend for a championship in 2013.
