Henry Bertram powered Lakers at the plate and on the rubber Saturday, willing Lakers to a 6-4 victory over Lincoln County.
Bertram racked up two RBIs on two hits for Lakers. He singled in the second and fifth innings.
Bertram handled Lincoln County's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Bertram allowed two earned runs, three hits and one walk over four innings.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.
Lakers pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. Lakers scored on a two-run single by Bertram off Caudill, bringing home Hayes Coffey and Grant Hadley.
The bottom of the second saw Lakers take an early lead, 3-0. A single by Bertram, plating Hadley started the inning off. Lakers added more runs when Bertram scored on an error and Blakeman scored on an RBI single by Brayton Scales.
Lincoln County got two-run rallies in the third inning and the fifth. In the third, Lincoln County scored on a two-run single by Long, scoring Caudill and Smith.
The fifth spelled defeat for Lincoln County, as Lakers grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on.
