The regular season finale' definitely went the way of the Pirates with a 11-1 "mercy rule" victory over Kennedy.  Highline scored four runs in the bottom of the first on four walks and two basehits.  Kennedy tallied their only run (unearned) in the top of the second.  The Pirates retaliated with five in the bottom of the third on three doubles and two free passes to make it 9-1.  Ryan Brett smacked a two RBI homer in the fourth to produce the final margin of victory.  Lee Carson was masterful on the bump pitching the complete game victory and improving his record to 4-0 for the year.  The victory secures the second spot in the Seamount League standings and a 4:00 PM Sub-District game on Saturday at Auburn Mountainview against White River.  This game is for seeding purposes into the District Tournament which starts Tuesday.

     The nightcap was not played when Hazen decided not to participate in the game, sadly disappointing the home crowd who had arrived to honor our Seniors in their final home game of 2010.
