For the second time this season, one bad inning doomed the Pirates.   Leading 1-0 after two, the Rams put together their patented "big inning" scoring nine runs in the top of the third to take command of the Seamount League standings.  Despite only three strikeouts, the basehits were hard to come by for Highline.   Ryan Lingle doubled in the first and came home on an infield grounder.  Ryan Brett hit a double in the second and a homerun in the fifth.  Logan Brickell got a pinch-hit base knock to finalize the hit column for the night.  Joe Young made a "Web Gem" catch in the first to thwart an early Ram threat.  Lingle's long relief stint was also worthy as he pitched 5 innings without surrendering any earned runs.  Highlines' next action is tonight (Wednesday) against Kennedy at 7:00 PM on Moshier Field.  As of press time, the weather was not looking particularly promising.  If we are rained out, the make-up will be tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 unless otherwise announced.  Saturday is the High School Baseball Classic at Safeco Field against Newport.  Admission is free and a big contingent of Pirate fans would be appreciated. The Auction is Friday night at "The Cove."  Tickets are still available and it looks like the HHS Baseball Nation will be well represented but, there is always room for more.  Tickets are available at the following link...
