Senior pitcher, Lee Carson was "Lights Out" and the Pirate offense was good enough for a 10-0 victory over Foster. Lee went the distance in the 5 inning contest striking out 10 and surrendering just one basehit. Highline got on the board first scoring three runs on three hits, a walk and an error. Three more runs scored in the third highlighted by Derick Lewis' triple. Two runs each in the fourth and fifth innings sent the Bulldogs home early with Highline's second straight "Mercy Rule" conquest. Luke Werle led the offense going 2-for-2 including a "Moshier Double." Jacob Wydick was 2-for-3 with 3 RBI's. Ryan Brett was in danger of going "Ofer" for the first time this year before his last at bat produced a 2 RBI "walk-off" triple. After taking the weekend off, Highline hosts Lindbergh in an early season showdown on Monday night. Game time is 7:00 PM at our house. This is the first of five games for the Pirates this week as we head into Spring Break.
