Capital City Lost their opening 9-inning contest against the Showtime College Prep team.

After getting the scoring started on a single by Hunter Spriggs, then adding to the lead when Josh Palmquist scored on a Showtime error in the second, Capital City gave up four runs on three errors and two walks to hand over the lead early.

Cap City got back in the lead with a three run 7th inning on a single by Garrett Myers, that scored Roger Ingram Jr. and Mickey Walker. Followed by a mis-fielded ground ball on a Jordan Barchus hit that made it 5-4 going into the bottom of the 7th.

Unfortunately that lead didn't last long; as walks and errors struck again and Showtime took the lead back for the final time in the bottom of the 7th. The final score was 7-5; Ingram Jr. got the loss for Cap City.

Capital will be back up in Vancouver on Tuesday to face off with Showtime again.
