Moe’s forced a deciding Game 3 Thursday Night, soundly defeating Coors Light 17-8. Thanks to poor base running, questionable base coaching, multiple opposition free passes, ill timed errors, non clutch hitting, and generally having their heads up their asses, Coors allowed Moe’s to build a 13-1 lead after two frames. Coors Light (once again playing shorthanded) seemed to pack it up after that, as Moe’s went on to easily win Game 2 17-8.
Two nights after a monster game, the Coors Light offense managed only 18 singles, 3 doubles, and 1 base on balls:
Joe Nichols 5-5, 2B, RBI
Scott Umbrianna 3-5, 2 RBI
Buff Robillard 3-4, SF, RBI
Jim Antonetti 3-5, 2 2B, 3 RBI
Pete Robillard 1-5, DP
Bobby McCarthy 0-3, SF, RBI
Joe Voci 3-3, BB
Smokey Wiener 1-4
John Powers 2-4
Voci fell to 6-7 overall (1-1 in post season play), as he struggled with his control all night. The defense played okay but made a couple of untimely errors which contributed to the loss.
Coors Light faces Moe’s in the finale on Monday Night @7:45pm (hurricane pending).
