Knowing they only had 9 (and not knowing they were only going to finish with 8), Coors Light knew the offense had to deliver if it was going to take the opener of the Semi Finals.  And deliver it did; putting up eight runs in the first and collecting 32 hits (while hitting .727) on route to a 25-5 pounding of #4 seed Moe’s.

Coach Joe Voci once again took player of the game honors (in a tight race); reaching base 5 times and picking up the win on the hill.  But everyone in the order picked it up and contributed to the big win:

Voci improved to 6-6 overall (1-0 in post season play), as the defense (like the offense) picked up their game and played excellent (including a well executed rundown, which ended the game).

A shorthanded Coors Light (Ichiro: Hamstring, McCarthy: Ribs, Perkins: DJ, Ostiguy: Maine, Benedetti: work) gets back Buff Robillard (last game Aug 1) just in time, as they look to close out Moe’s Thursday Night @7pm (continuing their quest for BMSL B division title #3).
