| Sep 12/09 - ROUNDUP: Lyons leads Tigers past Blue Devils |
Rahien Lyons scored two touchdowns to give homestanding Bay High a 29-12 victory over Pearl River Central on Saturday.
The Tigers (3-1) cut the Blue Devils lead to 12-8 on a Brennan Dunklin 10-yard run before Lyons gave Bay High a 15-12 halftime lead on a 37-yard run. In the third, Elijah White pushed Bay’s lead to 22-8 with a 64-yard interception return before Lyons closed out the scoring with a six-yard run in the fourth. Lyons, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior, rushed for 121 yards on 19 carries.
Bay High hosts Poplarville next week in Region 8-4A opener. |
