| Red Sox score early and often against the Orioles in 16-3 win Wednesday night. Sox players pounded out ten hits to go along with the seventeen walks and three hit batters. ( Eddie is doing just fine after getting drilled on the wrist and paying a visit to the doctor. ) As positive as the night was for the kids getting on base an old habit reappeared. As a team we had fourteen strikeouts, nine of those were called third strikes. That is one area we need to improve upon as we head into the tail end of the season and playoffs. The Orioles were never able to get their own bats going as Lilly was more pitcher than they could handle. She pitched four scoreless innings allowing only one hit. Jonah came to work the fifth and sixth and did a great job himself, allowing one run on on one hit.
Next up is a 7:45 game against the White Sox on Monday night at Ballpark 2. No practice on Sunday. I took it off the schedule. I will add a practice or two towards playoff time.
