| The Lakers defeated the Mayer Blazers 11-1 Wednesday and followed that up with an 8-5 win vs the Winsted Wildcats Thursday. Jesse Maistrovich pitched a solid 7 innings giving up 4 hits, 2 walks, in their win vs the Blazers. Chris Bullis led the offensive attack with 4 hits and a HBP, including 2 RBI's. Ben Smothers and Ronnie Olson each also contributed 2 hits. On Thursday the Wildcats came to Lion's Field where Cole Hyjtan pitched the first 5 innings for the Lakers allowing only 3 hits and 3 unearned runs. Dalton Sawyer (2 innings), Peter Brown, and Chris Bullis finished up for the Lakers. Sawyer had a huge day with his 3 strike outs pitching and a 3 for 3 day with a walk at the plate. Bullis also had a good day striking out 3 in his inning of pitching while going 3 for 4. |
