| The Waconia Lakers added 3 runs in the 8th inning and 1 in the 9th as their 2-1 lead till then was to close for comfort. Great pitching from Chris Bullis (4 innings, 0 runs, 4 strikeouts, 2 hits, 1 walk), Peter Brown ( 1 inning, 1 unearned run, 1 hit), Ronnie Olson ( 4 innings, 0 runs, 1 strikeout, 2 hits, 1 walk) held the Glencoe Brewers at bay. Seven of the Lakers 9 hits were supplied by their 6-7-8 hitters as Brown was 3-4 and Nick Litfin and Tom Lyons contributed 2 hits a piece. Ben Smothers again carried the defense with some unbelieveable plays. |
