Well after a couple of weeks of practice were the Tigers ready for Game #1?

We would soon find out, our opponent the Marlins.

After a bit of a shaky start and trading 4 runs each with the Marlins.

The Tigers started to play Tiger baseball and held them to 2 runs in the 2nd inning while answering with 4 of our own.

The 3rd inning the Tigers only managed to get 1 run but strong pitching and defense by the Tigers held the Marlins scoreless in the 3rd.

The 4th inning saw the Tigers scoring 4 more runs and the Marlins answered back with 3 of runs.

As darkness approached we went to bat to try and increase our lead but strong pitching from the Marlins shut us down.

13-9 heading into last bats for the Marlins, would the Tigers be able to hold the lead and claim their first victory of the season?

Sending our closer to the mound and fielding a strong defense the Tigers held the Marlins to 1 run.

Final Score 13-10 for the Tigers.

Way to go Tigers, lets keep up the hard work and focus for our next game on the 11th vs the Cardinals.
