Posted Jun 7/11 - Forrest Rockets Going Camping
As the lack of rain and the summer heat make afternoons outside unbearable, the gymnasium at Forrest High School is full of activity.  The Rockets, coming off a 24 win campaign a year ago, are excited to get to work.  The new seniors are ready to take a valuable leadership role as they look to continue what the large senior class from 2010-2011 brought to the Rocket fanbase; hard work, a lot of fast paced play, and with this came a lot of victories.
Early June is a time to work on conditioning, work on getting quicker and stronger, and put in some of the basics that will be executed in the fall.  Another important aspect of the early summer is going to various camps throughout the area.  The Rockets will be attending the annual Eagleville "Camp of Champions" camp on June 9 - 11, and the Wayne Co. Wildcat Camp on June 19 - 22.  With only three days of practice under their belt by the time they go to Eagleville, the seniors and Coach Wes Hobbs will use these three days to evaluate the team.  They will highlight strengths and reflect on things to work on.  When they return to practice on June 13, they will have a full week of workouts before heading to Wayne Co.  This will be an important set of practices, as the team looks to improve during this short time in June.

Please come back to this site often as we continue to follow the Rockets throughout this entire season.
