| Posted Aug 5/11 - Junior Eagles win on Day 2 |
| The main highlight from Carnarvon Park on Day 2 of the BC Bantam AAA Provincials was the Victoria Junior Eagles 8-7 upset win over North Delta. The Jr Eagles went into the 7th with a lead and showed great character in hanging on to get the win. Well done to both teams! In other games, the Vancouver Mounties lost a protest but edged out the Victoria Senior Eagles 11-8. The Mountie coaches decision to protest an Eagle home run delayed the game by an hour. This also resulted in subsequent games being delayed. In other action Cloverdale beat Ridge Meadows 3-2 and Burnaby beat Abbotsford 15-14. Due to earlier game delays, the North Delta vs White Rock game could not be completed this evening, and will be continued after the first games are completed on Saturday morning. More scores can be seen under Schedule or Results. A full slate of games gets underway at 9am Saturday morning! Come on out and cheer on the teams!! |
