In the much anticipated meeting between the #1 Cloverdale Black Spurs and #3 Abbotsford Angels, the two teams didn't disappoint.  It was a battle of pitchers once again as the Cloverdale pitcher held the Angels off the scoreboard and the bases for the first 5 innings. At the same time Keaton pitched a fabulous first 5 innings and allowed only 1 run in the 2nd inning. 

In the 6th inning, Jordan led off with a single by beating the throw to first.  He was moved up to second by a key bunt by Keaton.  Eventually making it to 3rd and then scoring.  With the game tied, the Angels were able to hold the Spurs off the scoreboard in the 6th and 7th innings with great pitching from Aussie and also great defense by both the infield and the outfield. The game went into extra innings.  In the 8th inning, Aussie led off with a single, eventually stealing second and then moved to 3rd on a clutch single by Cade.    Noah stepped up and hit a ground ball to short and was able to safely make it to 1st while Aussie scored the leading run.  The Angels closed the door in the bottom of the 8th and a great stretch by Sheldon on first got the 3rd out.  Angels win.   This was a great game played by two great teams.  We look forward to seeing them again on Sunday in a double-header at Townline.  But before that, there's a double-header in Kamloops to play on Saturday.
