The Angels bats were pretty challenged tonight as they struggled to hit balls out of the infield. Stellar pitching by Austin and error free defense kept the Angels close for 6 innings but the bats were unable to cash in on the several base runners that the Angels did manage to get on base. The Angels did have opportunities to win the game however it just wasn't their night.
Next game is on the Island in Chemainus and Nanaimo where the Angels will play double-headers against Cowichan Valley and Nanaimo. The weather looks promising so it should be a great weekend of baseball.
Go Angels!
