HARRISBURG — The Outlaws baseball team picked up its third win of the year Thursday with a 3-2 victory over Harrisburg running their overall record to 3-1.
Reid Smith pitched three relief innings for the Outlaws and picked up the win. He allowed one hit, one earned run and struck out two. Nate Zens started, pitching two innings and allowing one hit, one earned run and striking out two.
Zach London earned the save, pitching the final two innings. He gave up one hit, one walk and had three strikeouts.
London was 2-for-4 with a double, Pierce Smith was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Zens was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Zen’s RBI in the fifth inning was the go-ahead score. He batted Trevor Doyle in with two outs.
The Outlaws trailed 2-0 after the first inning and tied the game in the fifth.
For Harrisburg, Korbin Cavanaugh pitched four innings and gave up three hits, one earned run, one walk and struck out five. He was tagged with the loss.

The Outlaws are in action next on Thursday, April 8 when they travel to Parkston to take on the Trojans. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 pm with the varsity game first. |
