The Spring League Champion Titan's opened their Summer season Sunday vs the Champions of their division The Sun Devils. Alex Murphy got the opening day start and struggled with his control for the 4 innings he pitched. He turned the mound over to Chris Gschwender down 7-5 in the bottom of the 5^th. Chris restored order and gave the Titans a chance to tie the game in the top the 8^th inning but the Devils pushed over a run in the bottom of the 8^th inning and held on to win 8-7. Stand out performances from the Titan's were from Chris Gschwender with a double, single and 3 RBI's. Dallas Tracy with two singles and two RBI's. But the player of the game is John Carra with his two doubles and Ozzie like play at shortstop. Looking forward the Titan's are in a tougher division and just lost to the team to beat by only one run (two of the runs un-earned). Even with the loss, I think the Titan's are the team to beat!
