| The Langley-Aldergrove Dodgers played well in their second game in the Cloverdale Jamboree, but had to settle for a tie with the Tri City Indians after 6 innings when the 'no new inning after 90 minutes' rule was invoked. Once again, Dodgers pitching was strong with 3 new hurlers going to the mound. However, this time the defence tightened up and the Dodgers were much more aggressive at the plate. Notables included Ethan "Big E" Kano McGregor who played well behind the plate, "Action" Jackson LaPointe who went 1 for 2, Matthew "Sellie" Selinger who went 1 for 1, and Yi-An Pan who went 1 for 2 and pitched two great innings (5 K). Yi-An was named the Dodgers player of the game. Thanks again to the Cloverdale organizers, coaches, and staff for their efforts in putting on the Jamboree in very trying weather conditions. |
